Players will be provided with character sheets, dice, cheat sheets for the rules, and pencils at the gaming table and will not have to bring anything. We hope to fill the table, as any number of players over 4 will allow us to run the game with 2nd level characters (instead of 3rd level characters) which will be even more forgiving for new players. In play testing, "What About the Children?" has taken around 9 hours to play through fully, this is only the first part of the adventure, but should end with a solid in-game mini-boss.

Tonight is the 43rd straight night of a city-wide curfew as a result of the declaration of martial law in Victus. The MatriArcane, the ruler of the city, after a turf battle between two rival gangs disrupted her birthday celebration, has declared an end to the gangs that have run rampant through the city for as long as history has been recorded. She has vowed that she will choke them off, starve them of resources, and destroy them. Already, several gangs have been wiped out; The Smoke Scimitars, the Night Ladies, Fickle Fate Finger Society, and the possibly the largest and most powerful gang in the city, the Brewery Street Bastards, have been broken and disbanded, their members arrested or executed. Only 13 gangs remain. Funds are beginning to run dry. People paying protection are beginning to refuse. Gambling, Vice, Smuggling, Larceny, all profit sectors are making less and less each day. Any major blow-ups will just bring down the harsh attention of the MatriArcane and her army of Paladins. Just as tensions are about to hit a breaking point, a gang summit has been called. This will be a 6th level adventure. Characters will be provided to fit within the aesthetic of the game.

Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? This game is for people who want SHENANIGANS. You will be playing a party of older (think geriatric), high level heroes who have retired (unwillingly) to run a tavern. However, retirement is not as restful (or boring) as you imagined. From guiding fresh (stupid) new adventurers, to the challenges of brewing good booze, life is full of excitement. You will face opponents both new and old (pun intended) and gain many new skills. All of your characters will be customized to represent their years of experience. Characters will be high level but disadvantaged in some way. E.g. the toothless, frail barbarian on a liquid diet, the wizard suffering from dementia, and the hard of hearing ranger with a cranky animal companion, etc.
